This collection includes some of my earliest drawings from when I first started taking art classes. My teacher was Sofronio Y. Mendoza (Sym), a well-known artist in the Philippines. Sym would not let me paint in color before I learned the fundamentals of black-and-white drawing, and mastered the principles of light and shade.
